The national payment system "Elkart," presented by JSC "Interbank Processing Center," has successfully completed the first integration test with the international platform Alipay+. The testing took place at the Alipay+ office in Shanghai during the working visit of the chairman of JSC "IPC," Altymysh Turatbekov, to China.
During the event, specialists conducted a verification of the payment scenario via QR code in the Alipay system. The successful execution of the operation confirms the active work on integration, opening new horizons for digital payments for both citizens of Kyrgyzstan and foreign tourists.
Altymysh Turatbekov, chairman of JSC "IPC," emphasized that in the first stage of integration, users will be able to easily and effortlessly pay for goods and services through QR codes in Alipay+. In the next stage, it is planned to expand the functionality, allowing for bilateral payments and enabling mutual acceptance of QR payments between both systems.
It is worth noting that in September, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Shanghai between JSC "IPC" and Alipay+. This document became an important step in implementing the tasks set by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the development of cross-border payments, digital services, and international cooperation. Thus, the agreement creates a digital bridge between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as other countries where Alipay+ is present.
