This year, visitors to the Christmas market in Bishkek were able to enjoy the festive atmosphere from the moment they arrived at the "Steinbroi" restaurant, where accordion music created a cozy setting.

The fair featured a variety of goods: from agricultural products and homemade baked goods to traditional decorations and dolls. Sets of Christmas gingerbread, cookies, and jams were particularly popular, quickly finding their buyers.

Svetlana's performance from the village of Belovodskoye became a highlight of the celebration. She played the bayan and sang songs in several languages, encouraging guests to dance and have fun. Elena, the head of the German center in Belovodskoye, noted that their team had specially come to the market to showcase their products, including pickles and apples from their gardens. "A large number of people of different nationalities have gathered here, and this is delightful," she added.

The attention of visitors was drawn to toys and New Year decorations made in the papier-mâché technique with Christmas motifs. Artisans from various creative associations, including the renowned art designer Tatiana Orlova, showcased their creations, emphasizing that recently people prefer to choose accessories that match a specific look.

Particular attention was drawn to "webs" — thin shawls made from the wool of Alai goats and silk threads, reminiscent of the festive outfits of snow maidens. Potters presented neat clay Christmas trees, as if wrapped in a snowy blanket. Additionally, the market offered a multitude of knitted toys, socks, and hats that created a true winter atmosphere.

No less interesting were the felt products. Thanks to the long-standing efforts of various organizations aimed at developing crafts and creating jobs, a true school of felt artisans has emerged in Kyrgyzstan. Their creations, which can hardly be called mere souvenirs, have become genuine works of art. Felt horses, the symbol of the upcoming year, particularly attracted attention.

The Christmas market once again demonstrated how warmly and friendly the festive season is welcomed in Kyrgyzstan, uniting people and traditions through creativity.
