At the festival "Karagemde Karakol," he showcased his works for the first time and was inspired by the craftsmanship of other participants.
Ruslan, born on September 22, 1975, served in the army after graduating from school No. 4 in Karakol and then worked in various fields. He currently has a second group disability, which arose after an attack that affected his vision. "I see normally until lunchtime, so I work during that time. After noon, my vision worsens, and I can't continue," he explained.
Previously, Ruslan collected tree roots in the mountains, creating souvenirs in the form of snow leopards, golden eagles, and other animals. "After I was discharged from the hospital, a German tourist came to me with a translator. He showed me a photo of the snow leopard I made. It turned out that my work had been sent to Germany, and he came to find me. I depicted the snow leopard not just frozen but showed its life in the mountains," Ruslan shared.
The master is now planning to create a snake in motion. "I want to make a composition where the snake approaches a bird's nest to exhibit it in a museum for the townspeople," he noted.
At the moment, Ruslan is making souvenir komuz (a traditional string instrument) from spruce. "Previously, I completed one souvenir in two hours, but now due to my health, it takes three days," he added.
Ruslan emphasized that his first exhibition inspired him with new creative ideas. "Creative people get inspired by seeing each other's work. I showcased my products at the exhibition for the first time and now want to create dolls with national patterns," he said.
