The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reports on the preparation of a new resolution by the Cabinet of Ministers concerning the implementation of the pilot program "Young Veterinarian: Housing and Career."
The main goal of the program is to address the shortage of veterinary personnel, create attractive conditions for young specialists in remote and rural areas, and improve the quality of veterinary supervision and the level of biosecurity in the agro-industrial sector.
Currently, the project is at the clarification stage following the first discussion in government agencies. As part of the 12-month pilot initiative, 60 young veterinarians will be able to participate in the program, provided that they work in the selected areas for at least five years. The following support measures are planned for program participants:
- relocation payments;
- monthly contributions to a special deposit for accumulating the down payment for a mortgage loan;
- compensation for housing rental or provision of official housing.
It is expected that the "Housing + Career" concept will help supply young veterinarians to the regions, improve the quality of public services, strengthen veterinary safety, and create a positive socio-economic effect for rural areas.
The program is characterized by its social significance and financial sustainability, making it an important step in developing the human resource potential of the sector. The Ministry emphasizes its openness to proposals and initiatives: citizens can send their ideas to the relevant specialists for further consideration.
