
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved a long-term program aimed at developing the critical minerals sector until 2030. Resolution No. 783 was signed by the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The purpose of the document is to ensure sustainable economic growth, improve the investment climate in the mining sector, create modern value-added chains, and strengthen the country's resource security.
In accordance with the resolution, the following elements have been approved:
- a long-term program for the development of the critical minerals sector until 2030;
- a plan of measures for its implementation;
- a methodology for assessing resource value;
- a matrix for monitoring and evaluating the program's implementation.
Ministries and administrative agencies are required to ensure the timely execution of activities, achieve established indicators, and prepare corresponding departmental plans. Progress reports must be submitted to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision twice a year — no later than the 15th of the month following the reporting period.
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, in turn, will provide consolidated information to the Presidential Administration no later than the 30th of the month following the reporting half-year.
Control over the implementation of the resolution will be carried out by the office for monitoring the execution of decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers.
This resolution comes into force ten days after its official publication.
