According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, the program aims to address the shortage of veterinarians, improve conditions for attracting and retaining young specialists in rural and hard-to-reach areas, as well as enhance the level of veterinary supervision and biosecurity in the agro-industrial sector.
Currently, the project has undergone initial discussions in the relevant government bodies and is in the process of refinement. Over the course of 12 months, 60 young specialists will be able to participate in the program, committing to work for a minimum of five years.
Participants in the program will be provided with:
- - one-time payments;
- - cumulative monthly contributions to a special deposit for a future down payment on a mortgage;
- - rental compensation or provision of service housing.
It is planned that the "housing + career" model will supply regions with young veterinarians, improve the quality of public services, enhance the veterinary safety system, and create a positive socio-economic effect for rural areas.
This program is socially significant and financially sustainable, marking an important step in developing the human resources potential of the industry. The Ministry is open to suggestions: citizens can send their initiatives to the relevant specialists for discussion.
