At today's briefing, Gulzat Totubaeva, head of the population relations department of the State Mortgage Company, reported that there have been no cases of housing loss in Kyrgyzstan due to delays in state mortgage payments.

According to her, if a client fails to meet their payment obligations for more than 90 days, the mortgage agreement will be terminated, which will lead to the confiscation of the apartment.

“However, to date, no such incidents have been recorded. The repayment rate for our program is over 99 percent. Most citizens who received mortgage apartments through our company regularly fulfill their obligations. This is important for them, as in the future, the housing will become their property. There are cases when a client forgets about a payment. The main thing is to contact us in time and inform us about the problem. We are always ready to accommodate; we can revise the payment schedule or postpone payments. However, so far, such situations have not arisen,” Totubaeva noted.

Additionally, she added that in case of financial difficulties, the client has the option to exchange their apartment for a smaller one, which will help reduce the amount of monthly payments.

According to Totubaeva, the cost of housing provided under the state mortgage program is determined by the board of directors, taking into account the market situation, inflation levels, and other factors.
