On the air of Birinchi Radio, experts from the Chui branch of the State Insurance Organization OJSC discussed the rates, conditions, and process of obtaining both mandatory and voluntary home insurance in the region.
Leading specialist Elina Umuraliyeva noted that to obtain mandatory home insurance (MHI), it is necessary to provide a technical passport and the owner's passport.
As for the rates, they are:
- 612 soms for rural housing;
- 1,224 soms for urban properties.
She also mentioned that voluntary insurance covers not only residential buildings but also commercial premises, which expands opportunities for clients.
Head of the Retail Sales Sector Kenjebek Kadyrbaev emphasized that insurance can be arranged regardless of the client's place of residence. "In the Chui region, there are eight districts that include both villages and cities. Clients can contact the call center or visit sales points that have appeared in 2GIS," he added.
"The first step is to determine the object of insurance. Even if the client is unsure, they should seek advice from any of our departments," Kadyrbaev noted.
What MHI Covers
According to Umuraliyeva, mandatory insurance protects against damage caused by:
- fires;
- various natural disasters;
- water ingress as a result of firefighting.
Experts also reminded that:
- in rural areas, the maximum payout for MHI is 500,000 soms;
- in urban conditions — 1 million soms.
At the same time, each insurance situation is subject to an independent assessment of damages. It is important to note that if the damage occurred due to the owner's fault, insurance payments are not provided.
Furthermore, Kadyrbaev added that insurance is strictly regulated by law, and the organization's employees are obliged to provide clients with all necessary information.
Since the beginning of December to the present day, the Chui branch of the State Insurance Organization has made payments for 75 insurance cases.
