
In Kyrgyzstan, a project aimed at opening 75 processing enterprises will be implemented in 2026. This is part of a state program focusing on improving the quality and competitiveness of local products, as well as modernizing production processes and increasing the volume of processing dairy, meat, and fruit and vegetable products, which in turn will contribute to the development of the food industry.
The Ministry of Agriculture reported that according to the planned activities, new enterprises will open in the following regions:
- 8 facilities in Chui region;
- 14 in Jalal-Abad region;
- 9 in Osh region;
- 12 in Issyk-Kul region;
- 15 in Naryn region;
- 9 in Batken region;
- 8 in Talas region.
10 trade and logistics centers;
6 refrigerated warehouses for fruits and vegetables;
5 grain processing enterprises (including flour, pasta, and confectionery production);
14 facilities for processing vegetables and fruits;
8 dairy processing enterprises;
8 meat processing enterprises, of which 6 will produce poultry meat;
1 rice processing plant;
10 slaughterhouses;
5 wool processing enterprises;
2 fish processing plants;
1 enterprise engaged in the processing of medicinal herbs;
1 mineral water production plant;
3 feed mills;
1 honey processing enterprise.
The total funding for these projects amounts to 6 billion 203 million soms. Implementation will be carried out using concessional state loans, private investments, and funds from international partners. It is expected that the opening of new processing enterprises will not only increase the volume of local product output but also create new jobs in the regions and improve the country's export capabilities.
