Today, October 30, Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, got acquainted with the process of testing remote voting organized by the Central Election Commission as part of the preparations for the extraordinary elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh.

In one of the shopping centers in Bishkek, where a polling station was established, the president participated in the test voting.

He underwent online identification using his passport, after which the system determined his polling station and district, providing him with a ballot. The president then marked next to the conditional candidate and dropped the ballot into the ballot box.

Tynchtyk Shainazarov, the chairman of the CEC, demonstrated the operation of the voting equipment to the president and explained the features of remote voting. During the testing, the system showed how to prevent repeated voting: when attempting to identify at another polling station, the program notified that the voter had already voted and did not issue a ballot.

The president emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency, accessibility, and technical readiness of the electoral process for all citizens.

He also instructed the Central Election Commission and other state bodies to ensure the smooth operation of all polling stations, including remote voting points, and to organize a wide information and explanatory campaign to increase voter activity.

It should be noted that the testing of remote voting is being conducted by the Central Election Commission at all polling stations across the country, as well as in several cities in Russia. Similar tests were previously conducted on October 10 and 20.

This initiative aims to allow citizens to familiarize themselves with the new remote voting system and to ensure its reliability and convenience.
