The 92-year-old leader of Cameroon has been re-elected for the eighth time
Paul Biya, the oldest president in the world, has been re-elected for a seven-year term, as reported by Reuters.
According to the Constitutional Court, Biya received 53.66% of the votes. The elections took place on October 12, and the final results were announced only 15 days later, as stipulated by law. The electoral commission noted that the voting was conducted in a calm atmosphere.
Since coming to power in 1982, Paul Biya has continued to govern Cameroon. This is his eighth term as president.
