The Office of the Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan has opened in Croatia

In Rijeka, Croatia, a solemn ceremony was held to mark the opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new institution, located at Vukovarska 10a, aims to promote the strengthening of bilateral relations as well as development in the areas of trade, economy, and cultural interaction. Additionally, the office will provide consular-legal support to citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

Important guests attended the event, including Talantbek Kushchubekov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary, as well as Bojan Shikanic, the Honorary Consul in Rijeka. Also among the participants were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, the Rijeka City Hall, the administration of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and other invited guests.

During the ceremony, honored guests spoke, emphasizing the significance of opening the consular office for the further development of Kyrgyz-Croatian cooperation, the activation of interregional ties, and the improvement of interaction between the governmental and business structures of both countries.

After the official part of the event, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary presented a presentation about the country, highlighting its natural, tourist, cultural, and economic opportunities. The presentation was accompanied by video materials showcasing the diversity of Kyrgyzstan's nature, elements of its national culture, and promising areas for cooperation in economic and cultural fields.
