
Budapest is also ready to invest up to 45 million dollars in Bishkek
At a meeting in Budapest, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev and Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto discussed the common position of the two countries regarding the conflict in Ukraine. They emphasized the need to seek peaceful ways to resolve it and to counter any attempts to escalate the situation.
Participants of the meeting also touched upon issues of cooperation within the framework of the European Union, discussing, among other things, the sanctions agenda. Additionally, they summarized the results of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian strategic partnership, outlining plans for 2026 to further strengthen ties.
Both sides highly appreciated the work of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which was described as an important tool for implementing joint projects. Hungary confirmed its readiness to increase the fund's capital to 45 million dollars to support investments.
