During his speech, Waddafull, as reported by the Anadolu Agency, noted that the recent negotiations in Berlin regarding the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine confirm the common position of Germany and Italy: any decisions regarding Ukraine must be made with the participation of the country itself. "Decisions on European security cannot be made without the involvement of Europeans," he added.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that "changing borders by force is unacceptable."

In Waddafull's opinion, despite the results of the current consultations, Russia continues to be an aggressive and imperialist power. He stressed that President Putin "is least of all shaping a war scenario against NATO," referring to the significant buildup of the Russian arsenal, which he believes exceeds the needs related to the conflict in Ukraine. The minister also noted the necessity of preparing for such scenarios and the importance of strengthening Ukraine's military potential.

Furthermore, Waddafull pointed to manifestations of "Russian aggression" in the Western Balkans, where, he claims, political pressure methods are being used.

At the same time, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban sharply criticized the European Union's anti-Russian strategy. He believes that the proposal to finance Ukraine's military expenses through joint borrowing by EU countries will become a serious burden for future generations.

Orban noted that even those states that oppose such measures will be forced to participate in them and pay interest for many years. He also emphasized that this will lead to an escalation of the conflict and complicate its prompt resolution, which he stated in his message on the social network X.

In addition, Orban stated that Hungary will be forced to act under pressure from the European Union. He previously mentioned that the EU has already allocated more than 100 billion euros for the conflict in Ukraine and is now considering the possibility of confiscating Russian assets; otherwise, he said, some European governments will face a crisis.

Currently, the European Commission is seeking the consent of EU countries to use Russian sovereign assets to assist Ukraine. A loan in the range of 185 to 210 billion euros is being discussed, which Ukraine will have to repay after the conflict ends and provided that Russia compensates it.
