In the United States, a tanker belonging to China was seized, which was carrying about two million barrels of Venezuelan oil.
Interestingly, there were no sanctions imposed on this tanker. According to American authorities, the Coast Guard is conducting a check on the legality of its registration in Panama.
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth commented on the incident: "President Trump has repeatedly emphasized that the blockade of oil tankers transporting oil from Venezuela or towards it will continue until the Maduro regime returns the assets that were unlawfully appropriated from the American side."
