The press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan commented on Vladimir Solovyov's statements

Alagozov emphasized:

Dear colleagues,

Several journalists have approached me with a question about a possible official response from the authorities to Solovyov's statements. I find it appropriate to share my opinion in this format.

Solovyov's statements should be regarded as yet another unserious remark that has emerged during his numerous broadcasts on various topics.

As for the reaction to his words, since Solovyov is a journalist and TV presenter, the appropriate responses should come from the journalistic community or other interested parties. Otherwise, if such words came from a deputy or a minister, our response would be more formal and structured.

I have heard about a proposal from one of the deputies to declare Solovyov a persona non grata. There is a specific procedure for this, and we will monitor how this issue is resolved.

It is important to note that bilateral and multilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as well as with other Central Asian countries, are at a high level. This is confirmed by mutual visits and cooperation within organizations such as the CIS, EAEU, and SCO.

Thus, any assumptions about a crisis in relations have no basis.

However, considering that Solovyov works for state television, his provocative statements create misunderstandings among the citizens of our friendly countries and, in some cases, require the adoption of stricter measures. We hope that his leadership will take the necessary steps.

In one of his broadcasts, Solovyov stated that Russia, similar to the U.S. in Venezuela, should "ignore international law" and consider the possibility of military intervention in the affairs of Armenia and Central Asia to keep them within its "sphere of influence."

“For us, what is happening in Armenia is much more painful than in Venezuela. The loss of Armenia is a serious problem. Ignoring international law and order is not a solution. If we deemed it necessary for our national security to start a special military operation in Ukraine, then why can't we take similar actions in other parts of our sphere of influence?” Solovyov said.
