During the discussion of the U.S. military operation in Venezuela, as well as Donald Trump's claims on Greenland, Solovyov noted that the U.S. ignores international law and does whatever it wants. However, in his opinion, events in the near abroad are more relevant for Russia than the situations in Venezuela or Syria.

“We need to focus not on Syria and Venezuela. We cannot afford to lose positions, but the most important issues for us are those concerning our close neighbors. The loss of Armenia is a real problem. The issues arising in Central Asia could pose a serious challenge for us,” the TV host emphasized.

Solovyov also remarked that Russia needs to clearly define its goals and objectives, as well as communicate that “the games are over.”

“We do not care about international rights and order. If we deemed it necessary to start a special military operation in Ukraine for our security, then why, based on the same considerations, can we not do the same in other countries within our sphere of influence?” he posed the question.

The TV host called for the formulation of a national doctrine and a clear definition of the boundaries of Russia's sphere of influence.

In response to these comments, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed a note of protest to the Russian ambassador, expressing deep outrage over the statements made on the state television channel.

The document emphasizes that such statements represent an unacceptable violation of Armenia's sovereignty and grossly violate the fundamental principles of friendship between Armenia and Russia, as stated in the official statement of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (according to NEWS.am).
