A military intervention initiated by the United States has occurred in Venezuela. Preliminary reports indicate that around seven explosions were heard in the capital, Caracas, and troop landings have been recorded.
According to information, the order to conduct attacks on military and other facilities in Venezuela was given by U.S. President Donald Trump. In response to these actions, Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, signed a decree imposing a state of emergency in the country.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is reportedly preparing an official statement regarding the situation in Venezuela.
Later, Trump stated that Nicolás Maduro and his wife had been captured and taken out of the country. He announced that additional information would be provided at an upcoming press conference.
So far, Venezuelan authorities have not confirmed this information.
