Commenting on the statements made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov regarding an alleged attack by Ukrainian drones on Vladimir Putin's residence, Zelensky noted that such claims are false and serve only as a pretext for possible aggressive actions.
“This is another fake from the Russian Federation. Yesterday we had a meeting with Trump, and for the Russians, if there are no scandals in our relations with America, it is perceived as a failure,” he emphasized.
In addition, Zelensky expressed confidence that Russia uses such rhetorical tricks to prepare strikes against Kyiv and its state institutions. He reminded that a similar situation occurred in September when a missile attack was carried out on the building of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.
The President of Ukraine also urged Donald Trump and his team, as well as European partners, to respond more actively to what is happening in order to prevent the disruption of efforts for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
In his Telegram channel, the head of the Ukrainian state added that the accusations made by Moscow are aimed at undermining the progress achieved in relations between Ukraine and the U.S. He emphasized that the international community should not remain indifferent and must take all possible actions to achieve peace.
