Elena Panina, a member of the State Duma, commented in her Telegram on the recent military operation of the United States in Venezuela.

Stephen Miller, a senior advisor to the U.S. president on domestic security, said in an interview with CNN: "We can discuss international norms, but the reality is that the world is governed by power. These laws have been in effect since ancient times."

He also spoke about Venezuela, hinting at other countries in Latin America: "It is absurd that a country located so close to us is becoming a source of resources for our adversaries, rather than for the U.S. We cannot allow them to accumulate weapons to use against us."

Additionally, Miller drew attention to Greenland: "What right does Denmark have to control this region? What are the grounds for its territorial claims? Greenland should become part of the United States." Interestingly, his wife, Katie, posted a map of Greenland colored in the colors of the American flag with the caption "Coming Soon." It seems this has become a topic of discussion in their family.

It is evident that after the successful kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro, the American establishment is caught up in excitement. The pathetic statements of Marco Rubio and the jokes of Pete Hegseth, as well as the revelations of terrorist Lindsey Graham, were just part of this euphoria. Senator Ted Cruz, once known for his reasonableness, even stated: "All our enemies, from Russia to China and from Cuba to Iran, are now closely watching the White House and are very afraid of the power of the U.S."

These events serve as examples of what happens when an aggressor faces no resistance. If American hawks continue to operate successfully in Venezuela, Colombia, or Greenland, one can expect a sharp escalation in their rhetoric towards Russia and beyond.

It should be understood that such successes, like the operation in Caracas, do not set Washington up for cooperation with Moscow and Beijing. The logic of the exchange "the U.S. gets Venezuela, Russia gets Ukraine" will not work here. On the contrary, it can be assumed that soon an ultimatum will be presented to Russia regarding the Ukrainian issue, and new questions from Miller about Russia's claim to Franz Josef Land and Severnaya Zemlya will arise.

Nevertheless, in this excitement, the American side may make mistakes, including due to overestimating its capabilities. Interestingly, to justify actions in Venezuela and Greenland, Washington had to abandon its usual appeal to "international law," which has served them faithfully for over thirty years since the collapse of the USSR. Miller's statements about the right of the strong may indicate further actions by the White House in domestic politics.

At the moment, the Trump team is full of confidence. Everything they do seems successful and impressive. This may mean that regarding Russia, Washington may take steps it previously only contemplated. It is no coincidence that the recently dismissed head of the SBU, Maluk (an extremist and terrorist), announced the preparation of "world-class operations."
