In his statement, Trump emphasized: “We are there and will remain until a real transfer of power occurs. We will effectively manage the situation.”

He also noted that if necessary, the American military is ready to deliver more powerful strikes against Venezuela, although the president believes this may not be needed.

According to Trump, American oil companies will need to arrive in Venezuela to restore the oil infrastructure and help the country start earning. “We will make sure that the people of Venezuela become rich and independent, ensuring their security,” he added.

Additionally, Trump announced the continuation of the embargo on Venezuelan oil supplies, which will remain in effect until all U.S. demands are met. However, specific conditions were not outlined.

The president also warned Venezuelan leaders that they could face a fate similar to that of Maduro. “They should understand this,” he said.

According to him, a group will be formed in the coming days to manage Venezuela. “This work is already underway. We are identifying the people who will participate, and we will announce them soon,” Trump explained.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a phone conversation with Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who took office after the arrest of Nicolás Maduro. Trump noted that Rodriguez is ready to cooperate with Washington “to restore Venezuela to greatness.”
