On the beach in Lima, a traditional ritual organized by Peruvian shamans took place on December 29, during which they announced their predictions for 2026. One of the most alarming forecasts was the statement about a serious illness of U.S. President Donald Trump and the exile of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, as reported by Reuters.
According to Juan de Dios Garcia, one of the shamans, America should be prepared for Trump to face a severe illness. "Trump will be seriously ill," he noted while in the company of other shamans dressed in bright ponchos and scattering flowers on the sand.
During the ritual, the shamans held posters depicting various world leaders, over whom they performed ritual actions, including crossing swords and burning incense. Some posters were even trampled underfoot.
Among the predicted figures are also Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Garcia added: "We see Nicolás Maduro defeated. He will leave Venezuela, and he will not be caught." The domestic political forecasts also concern Keiko Fujimori, the daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori, about whom the shaman stated that she will finally win the elections after three failures.
Additionally, the shamans predicted that the war in Ukraine will end: "The conflict will conclude, and we will see the flag of peace raised," Garcia said.
This tradition is held annually at the end of December, and previously the shamans had already predicted the end of the conflict in Ukraine in 2023.
