In various parts of Venezuela, actions to dismantle posters depicting Nicolás Maduro have intensified. This is happening against the backdrop of reports of his capture by the United States, which is causing a sense of joy among local residents regarding the fall of the current regime.

Social media has been filled with videos showing Maduro's portraits being taken down from building facades and other street structures. At the same time, in the capital, Caracas, supporters of the president are holding rallies in support of the government.

It is worth noting that on January 3, the United States conducted a series of strikes on Caracas, resulting in explosions being heard in the city. Later, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the successful execution of a major operation against Venezuela.

According to him, Nicolás Maduro and his wife were detained and taken out of the country. However, Venezuelan authorities previously claimed that they had no confirmed information about the president's whereabouts.
