At a press conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, clarified the situation regarding the possible opening of a consulate in Kaliningrad. According to him, such a decision is not currently on the agenda.

He noted that establishing a consulate would require significant financial investments, as well as the necessary personnel and material-technical resources. At the moment, citizens of the country can receive services through the embassy in Russia and the nearest consulate general in St. Petersburg.

The minister also added that all requests from citizens will be taken into account, and in the future, depending on financial capabilities, the issue of opening new representations may be reconsidered.

Regarding the visa policy of the Russian Federation, Kulubaev noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively working with Russian partners to ease conditions for its citizens and help them avoid being placed on "black lists." However, he emphasized that the current "182nd regime" is an internal decision of the migration services of Russia, and Kyrgyzstan cannot exert direct influence on it.

In addition, Kulubaev urged citizens to comply with laws related to residence, registration, and the requirements of Russian authorities, especially in the context of martial law.
