The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Discussed the Development of Transport Corridors

On January 14, a telephone conversation took place involving Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, and his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported that during the conversation, key aspects of cooperation between the two countries were discussed, with an emphasis on the development of international transport corridors and improving the capacity of border customs points.

Both ministers noted the importance of coordinating the actions of the relevant agencies to ensure effective and uninterrupted transit of goods, as well as creating comfortable conditions for the development of trade and logistics in the region.

During the conversation, opinions were also exchanged on planning and conducting high-level visits in 2026. The participants of the meeting emphasized that such meetings between heads of state play a key role in deepening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

In conclusion of the conversation, the ministers reaffirmed their mutual interest in activating political dialogue and practical cooperation on all issues of bilateral collaboration.
