Among the most significant projects highlighted were pipelines such as Baku – Tbilisi – Ceyhan, the South Caucasus Pipeline, as well as TANAP, TAP, and the Iğdır – Nakhchivan gas pipeline. Attention was also drawn to the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan in the field of green energy, the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant, and the Black Sea underwater cable for exporting energy from renewable sources.
Participants of the meeting emphasized that the integration of energy and transport networks is a key factor for ensuring the stability of supplies, stimulating trade in energy resources, and enhancing geopolitical resilience in the Turkic region.
The ministers noted that TSO countries possess significant resources of both traditional and renewable energy sources, and occupy a strategically important position at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.
In the context of growing global demand and changes in energy markets, strengthening cooperation in the energy sector has become a pressing task, the participants of the meeting emphasized.
The Secretary General of the TSO, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, highlighted the importance of initiatives that contribute not only to the economic development of the member states but also to the energy security of Europe and neighboring regions.
As a result of the meeting, the intention to implement the Energy Cooperation Program for 2023-2027 was confirmed. The next meeting of the ministers is scheduled for 2026 in Uzbekistan.
