The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, shared information about the situation of citizens of the country residing in the USA. According to him, there are currently about 40,000 Kyrgyz citizens living in the USA, including both students and working individuals.

Kulubaev warned that individuals without visas or those violating immigration rules may face deportation if identified by immigration authorities. According to available information, about 20 people have already been deported, with another 20 cases expected. He emphasized that citizens with properly arranged documents do not encounter problems with their stay.

Additionally, the minister addressed issues regarding the bonds set by American authorities for entry into the country. He noted that the amount of $15,000 is significant for Kyrgyz citizens; however, it is part of the internal immigration policy of the USA.
“We are actively consulting with the American side to simplify the visa regime, expressing our wishes while taking their requirements into account,” he added.

Kulubaev also pointed out the importance of adhering to the duration of stay and obtaining the necessary documents for citizens who have received visas. He noted that similar requirements exist in other countries, including Russia, and that Kyrgyzstan is continuously working to protect the interests of its citizens.

In conclusion, the minister reported that the agencies continue their efforts to legalize citizens abroad and improve consular services.
