As part of the event "Illegal," employees of the SPENM of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek are conducting checks aimed at ensuring compliance with migration regulations by foreigners on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Representatives of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate emphasized that foreign citizens must carry original documents that verify their identity and legality of stay in the country. This includes a passport or another identity document, a valid visa for work or study (in the case of a visa regime), as well as documents regarding migration registration.

If a foreigner does not have the aforementioned documents, they may be taken to the internal affairs authorities for identification and verification of their circumstances of stay. During the raids, 35 foreign citizens were detained and taken to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek for further verification.

Additionally, the department noted that inviting parties, employers, and educational institutions do not have the right to confiscate or retain the passports and other personal documents of foreign citizens.

The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek calls on foreign citizens and hosting parties to strictly adhere to the migration laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.
