Kulubaev: 2025 Became a Period of Active and Multidimensional Foreign Policy

At a press conference held today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, summarized the country's foreign policy activities for the year 2025. He noted that this year has been a time of active and purposeful work in the field of international relations.

According to the minister, Kyrgyzstan continued to follow a multi-vector and pragmatic course, focused on strengthening mutually beneficial ties with various international partners. An important direction in 2025 was the development of political dialogue, increasing the volume of trade and economic cooperation, as well as addressing issues related to cross-border interaction and the protection of the rights of Kyrgyz citizens abroad.

Kulubaev emphasized that throughout the year, constructive relations with key partners were maintained, the country's participation in integration processes and multilateral formats was activated, and significant progress was achieved in a number of bilateral areas.

He also added that under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov, Kyrgyzstan is actively developing cooperation with Central Asian countries, as well as with other states, demonstrating high dynamics in the field of diplomatic activity.

Among the key tasks for 2025, the minister highlighted the completion of negotiations on defining the state border, Kyrgyzstan's presidency in the Organization of Turkic States and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, as well as the commencement of the presidency in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Kulubaev also reported that in 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue efforts to expand international relations, strengthen the economic component of foreign policy, and protect the country's interests on the international stage.
