Starting from January 21, 2026, it is expected that a mandatory financial bond ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 will be established for citizens of several countries, including Kyrgyzstan. The specific amount will be determined by the consular officer based on an interview with the applicant.
Additionally, upon the consular officer's indication, the applicant must submit Form I-352 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and confirm agreement with the bond conditions through the online payment system Pay.gov, managed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also highlighted important points:
- the payment of the bond does not guarantee the issuance of a visa;
- in case of a change in immigration status or exceeding the allowed duration of stay in the USA, the bond will not be refunded;
- these requirements apply only to new applications submitted after the changes come into effect.
