The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported the introduction of a visa-free regime for diplomats between Kyrgyzstan and Thailand. This agreement will come into effect on January 2, 2026.

According to the information, the document was signed on September 27, 2024, in New York and aims to simplify border crossing procedures for official representatives of both countries.

The new rules provide complete visa exemption for entry, exit, and temporary stay. Holders of diplomatic and service passports will be able to stay in the partner country without a visa for 90 days within a 180-day period. The main goal of implementing this regime is to activate political dialogue and simplify the organization of official trips for civil servants.
