- The press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reports on the signing of a free trade agreement with Indonesia within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.

According to this agreement, the average customs duties on Kyrgyz goods will be reduced by 11%. For a number of goods, duties will be completely eliminated; however, exceptions have been maintained for 141 product positions to protect the most vulnerable sectors of the economy.

As noted by the ministry, this agreement opens new opportunities for the export of Kyrgyz goods to the Indonesian market, including meat, fish, dairy products, as well as vegetables, fruits, beverages, light industry products, and household appliances.

In addition, the document provides for the implementation of measures for the digitalization of procedures for confirming the origin of goods, simplifying administrative processes, and developing barter trade. It also includes cooperation between the customs authorities of both parties, information exchange, and mutual recognition of authorized economic operators.
