According to the new rules, the duration of stay for foreign citizens in the country now depends on their nationality and the grounds for entry. For example, foreigners who arrive on a visa or residence permit will be able to stay in Kyrgyzstan for the duration of these documents.
Citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union (including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia) can stay in Kyrgyzstan without additional permits for up to 90 days within each 180-day period from the moment of crossing the border.
For citizens of other countries listed in Appendix 1 to the Regulation, a visa-free regime is established for up to 30 days within each 60-day period, unless otherwise provided by international agreements.
Separate conditions are provided for citizens of Uzbekistan, who can stay in Kyrgyzstan without a visa for up to 60 days within a 120-day period. Visa-free entry for up to 90 days within 180 days is also allowed for citizens of Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Mongolia.
For citizens of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain, a visa-free regime is established for up to 180 days in each 360-day period. If specific terms are not defined, the principle of reciprocity applies.
A unilateral visa-free regime for 60 days has also been introduced for holders of United Nations Laissez-Passer passports. Additionally, item 62 was removed from Appendix 1 to the Regulation.
