A briefing was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dedicated to the updated migration rules
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the director of the Consular Department, Seytek Jumakadyrov, reported that over 1,000 resident cards have been issued for foreigners and stateless persons in the country.
The resident card is a unique document that allows foreign citizens to legally stay in Kyrgyzstan for up to 360 days. With this card, individuals can work legally, open their own businesses, and remain in the country without violating the law.
The resident card can be obtained online by submitting an application through the "Single Window" system, available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website via the "Electronic Visa" portal.
During the briefing, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the introduction of resident cards contributes to:
- more effective migration control;
- simplification of the process for obtaining government services;
- legal employment and business operations without unnecessary bureaucracy;
- regulating the legal status of foreign citizens in the country.
Representatives of Kyrgyz companies that employ foreign workers also participated in the event.
The Ministry emphasized that the issuance of resident cards is carried out as part of the second stage of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at simplifying migration processes.
