The official website of the U.S. administration has begun accepting applications for the "Trump Gold Card," which provides the opportunity to live and work in the U.S., as well as a pathway to obtaining American citizenship, reports DW.
The cost of obtaining this card is $1 million, plus a processing fee of $15,000.
Applicants can submit their documents through a specialized website dedicated to this program.
Additionally, there is an option to apply for a corporate version of the gold card, which costs $2 million, plus a $15,000 fee. This option will allow companies to quickly obtain residency permits for new employees.
There is also the possibility of transferring the card to another employee for a small fee of 5% of its value. The annual maintenance fee for the corporate card will be 1% of its value.
According to official sources, the "gold card" program is aimed at attracting highly qualified and vetted workers to the U.S., which, according to estimates from the country's Department of Commerce, is expected to help attract investments of over $100 billion.
