This measure was introduced in accordance with Georgian legislation in the field of tourism and applies to all types of travel: tourist, business, and private.
Insurance policies can be obtained from both Georgian and foreign insurance companies. It must be presented in paper or electronic format in Georgian or English.
The minimum amount of insurance coverage must be at least 30,000 lari. The policy should include information about the parties to the contract, the validity period, the territory of coverage, insurance risks, the amount of compensation, the insurance premium, as well as the terms and place of payment.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises citizens of Kyrgyzstan to familiarize themselves with the new entry requirements for Georgia in advance and to arrange for medical insurance before the trip. It is recommended to have documents in paper form to simplify the border control process.
Additionally, it is important to comply with immigration rules, which require a valid foreign passport, a return ticket, and proof of accommodation booking.
