Among the planned measures:
1. Reduction of the mandatory medical examination period for foreign citizens from 90 to 30 days for those arriving in Russia for more than three months.
2. The obligation of medical institutions to transmit information:
- to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia - about issued conclusions;
- to Rospotrebnadzor - about cases of infectious diseases detected among migrants for their prompt deportation.
4. Toughening of criminal liability for forging official documents confirming the absence of dangerous diseases and their use.
In 2025, the requirements for migrants in Russia were also tightened: the visa-free stay period was reduced to 90 days per year (starting January 1), new expulsion rules were introduced, and from the end of June 2025, visa-free entrants are required to notify via the "RuID" app 72 hours before their trip about the purpose of their visit.
Additionally, from December 1, a new phase of the experiment for foreign citizens entering the country will begin.
