In Kazakhstan, the implementation of a unified digital system is planned to track the movements of migrants. This initiative is based on the platform migration.enbek.kz. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has developed a new concept of migration policy, which is set to be in effect until 2030, according to official sources.

The system being created will integrate data from various government agencies, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Education and Science.

The platform will enable tracking of the movements and status of migrants, including foreign students and specialists. This will allow for more effective forecasting of migration flows and decision-making without duplicating functions among agencies, as stated in the press release.

According to the national statistical bureau, Kazakhstan maintains a positive migration balance: from January to September 2025, more than 16,000 people arrived in the country, while 5,975 citizens left, the majority of whom are migrants from CIS countries.
