In Moscow, preliminary results of the "Amina" application, which monitors migrants, were announced. According to information from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the capital, more than 139,000 migrants were removed from police records due to the lack of up-to-date geodata.

Police noted that if a migrant does not have up-to-date geodata within three working days after the last monitoring, they will be removed from the records. This action leads to their inclusion in the registry of monitored individuals.

Additionally, the police reported regular checks on the streets using data from the application. "Amina" provides the opportunity for prompt access to necessary information and quick responses to signals about possible offenses.

"The mobile application 'Amina' is part of the digital reform in the field of migration control," emphasized police representatives.

The pilot project began in the Moscow region on September 1 of this year. The installation of the "Amina" application is mandatory for citizens of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Ukraine who come to Moscow and the Moscow region for work.

Igor Dudnik, head of the migration issues department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Moscow, noted that the "Amina" application will help competent authorities track the whereabouts of labor migrants in the capital region, which, in turn, improves safety and prevents offenses by unscrupulous migrants.

It is worth noting that failure to comply with the requirements for data transmission through the "Amina" application may result in penalties, including possible deportation from Russia.

"We observe that many foreign citizens indicate one place of residence but are not actually there. As part of the second phase of the 'Illegal' operation, we identified 440 such citizens. This has become an example of how the 'Amina' system can help in identifying such cases," he added.
