In the Panfilov district of the Chuy region, the winter period brings special concern for birds from the students of the K. Tilebaliev boarding school. The children themselves shared this with a correspondent from Turmush.

12-year-old Alinur Akylbekov, a fifth-grade student, shared his experience of creating a birdhouse for the feathered creatures. He explained that his interest in birds is especially heightened on cold days when he wonders where they hide and how they find food. “I made a wooden house for the birds together with my grandfather Kanybek. After I brought it to the boarding school and hung it on a tree with the teachers' permission, the next day the sparrows started to inhabit it, and we were very happy about that. Now they can shelter from the cold in winter, and we feed them bread and other products every day. They have already gotten used to us,” A. Akylbekov said.

During the conversation with the children, other interesting stories were shared. One of the students talked about a cat that lives near the school: “It comes to us when we sit outside and is happy when we pet it and treat it to bread. This reminds us that birds and animals also need care. We, like them, are waiting for warmth and love,” noted a student named S.

Nazmina Urmanbetova, a tenth-grade student, mentioned that in their classes they are engaged in growing flowers. “I have been studying here since the 4th grade and take pride in the fact that our class is beautiful and cozy. We, like little gardeners, take care of the plants,” she added.

Biologist and teacher Bakyt Osmonkulova emphasized the importance of education and upbringing, expressing gratitude to the proactive students and the school administration. She noted that education should prepare children for life, not just fill them with knowledge.

The boarding school cook Gulmira Sharshenbaeva also added that all sanitary and hygienic standards are observed in organizing meals, and the conditions in the cafeteria meet the necessary requirements.

School director Bakyt Alymbekov spoke about the institution, founded in 1939, which currently accommodates more than 160 orphans and children left without parental care from different parts of the country. According to him, the school looks like an ordinary educational institution, but behind its walls lie unique fates and stories filled with care and warmth. “More than 50 staff members work here for the sake of the children, with hope for the future. This is a place where expectation and hope for the better reign,” concluded B. Alymbekov.
