Aizat Syrgak kyzy, originally from the village of Aral in the Talas region, currently resides in the city of Talas and holds the position of Executive Director of the Chess Federation of the Talas region.

In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, she noted that she graduated with honors from the Kyrgyz State Law Academy, obtaining both a bachelor's and a master's degree. By profession a lawyer, she worked in this field; however, in recent years, her activities have become related to chess: she leads a chess club at school and also has her own section.

“My interest in chess began in my school years when I learned to play from my older brother. The passion became so serious that I started practicing on my own. When I entered university, our instructor was looking for girls who could play chess, and I informed him that I was capable. I thought it would be difficult for me to compete against more experienced players in the city, but in the end, I won against everyone and was accepted into the Law Academy's team. This became a motivation for more diligent training: I attended classes and practiced. During my studies, I participated in numerous tournaments and championships, and after graduation, I did not leave chess,” she shares.

Once, Aizat learned about a tournament for women coaches in Kyrgyzstan. “At first, I didn’t plan to participate, but my mentor insisted that I take part. I agreed, although I was sure I wouldn’t even make it into the top ten. On the day of the tournament, I played and scored 8.5 points out of 9, taking first place. It was one of the most memorable tournaments of my life. I also remember the tournament among lawyers, where I played against Dastan Bekeshov and won — that was also a bright moment. Later, I got married and moved to Talas.

Now my husband and I are raising a daughter. My family and husband support me in this endeavor. When I said that this field needed someone to inspire and teach children, they supported me. Without their support, it would have been difficult for me to engage in this work. I often think about how I could continue without their support,” says Syrgak kyzy.

Now they have started taking children to championships across Kyrgyzstan. “Every tournament is a new opportunity and additional motivation for the kids. They gain experience in every game and become stronger. I want to introduce many innovations in this field and achieve new victories,” concludes Aizat Syrgak kyzy.
