In expert circles of Kyrgyzstan, possible scenarios following Kamchybek Tashiev's return to Bishkek are actively being analyzed. Political scientist Bakyt Baketaev shared his opinion on the situation, stating that Tashiev's speech will not only be an emotional expression but also an act of courage at the state level.
In his view, Tashiev will emphasize his significance not only as a close friend of the president but also as his reliable ally — it will be a kind of "two in one." He believes that for Tashiev, the interests of the state will always take precedence over his ambitions because the stability of the country is more important than any position.
“I believe he will acknowledge the mistakes of his supporters that led to his resignation and will accept the president's decision. He will address his supporters and all citizens with a call to comply with this decision for the sake of peace and stability, as well as the continuation of the complex reforms they have been implementing together over the past five years. He will express a desire to take a break to restore his health after intense work under serious changes. This will demonstrate the maturity and responsibility of a politician, rather than his grievances,” he noted.
Machiavelli claimed that friendship in politics is a myth. Nevertheless, history knows contrary examples. True political friendship is not just about gatherings and compliments, but a union of like-minded individuals who, in critical moments, place the interests of the state above personal feelings. Responsibility intertwined with friendship becomes a powerful force. Perhaps now Kyrgyzstan can demonstrate that there is genuine friendship in politics, based not on self-interest but on a common goal — the building of the country,” Baketaev added.
Thus, he emphasizes that the current situation could become a unique example for the region, where personal connections transform into state responsibility for the sake of national interests.
