The Cabinet of Ministers approved new agreements regarding the continuation of work on the development of the "Tulkubash" and "Kyzylbash" sites within the Chaarat deposit and the Chaarat area. This decision was officially formalized on January 22, 2026.

The document contains two main agreements:

an agreement on the waiver of claims regarding the Chaarat project;
an agreement on the transfer of the contract, which includes the transfer of rights and obligations under the stabilization agreement concluded in 2019 from the old investors to the new ones. Relevant details may be available for interested parties.

Historical Background

It was previously reported that the Canadian company Silvercorp Metals Inc. (TSX: SVM) signed an agreement to acquire 70% of the shares in Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited. This company holds a license for gold mining at the "Tulkubash" and "Kyzylbash" projects, as well as on adjacent exploration sites covering a total area of 27.42 square kilometers in the Tian Shan, Kyrgyzstan.

On January 16, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft cooperation agreement between itself, Silvercorp Metals, Inc., and the closed joint-stock company "Chaarat ZAV" for the development of the "Tulkubash" and "Kyzylbash" sites in the Chaarat deposit.
