A resident of the village of On-Eki-Bel, located in the rural district of Kök-Jar in the Nookat region, Nurlan Karabaev, shared his difficult story at a press conference held on February 20. He claims that his stepmother, Zhannat Abylova, is refusing to return to him the documents for the plot of land he purchased.

Nurlan recounted that in 2014, when his mother was alive, they reached an oral agreement formalized by a receipt, after which he acquired the land and built a house on it. However, in 2024, when he went to the "Cadastre" branch in Nookat, his stepmother took the documents and disappeared.

"Dear President Sadyr Nurkojoevich, Attorney General of the Kyrgyz Republic, I ask for your help in resolving my case," he appealed to the authorities.
According to him, in 2014, Zhannat A. (Nurlan's stepmother) had a trusting relationship with his late mother, which was the reason for their cooperation. In 2017, she handed him the documents for the land and assured him that she would help with its re-registration. However, despite his constant calls, she always replied that she was in the hospital.

In 2024, after they gave her another 100,000 soms, she came back for the money and, when they went to the "Cadastre" for the paperwork, took the documents and left, stating that "the land was not sold to him." The court proceedings yielded no results: although the examination confirmed the authenticity of the receipt, the Nookat court ruled that the appeal period had expired, while the Osh regional court upheld the first court's decision, stating that the period had not expired.

Nurlan's neighbors also expressed dissatisfaction with Zhannat's behavior, noting that she claimed in court that she was "stoned" when she came to the plot, while in reality, she had never appeared during the construction.

Meanwhile, Zhannat Abylova herself, commenting on the situation to the Turmush publication, presented her version of events. According to her, in 2009, she helped Nurlan's mother, who found herself in a difficult situation, and bought 36 acres of land registered in her name. The plot that Nurlan is talking about is 17 acres, for which they allegedly also paid in installments. She claims that they are now forging the receipt to present the situation in a different light.

Zhannat also reported that a criminal case has been initiated in this matter, as Nurlan has started threatening her.
