The main goal of the event was to promote the preservation of linguistic diversity and the popularization of multilingual culture.
Among the participants were the Deputy Mayor Manas Abdykalykov, the head of the city education department Gulnazira Kyrgyzbaevna, as well as representatives of educational institutions and local residents.
The objectives of the event included fostering a culture of multilingualism, developing artistic reading skills among children and students, and strengthening tolerant attitudes towards different languages and cultures. Additionally, the event contributed to the popularization of the native language and support for creative initiatives.
In anticipation of the International Mother Language Day, online competitions were held in the city in several categories:
- For preschool institutions — “Beshik yry — uluttun bashaty” (“Lullaby — the source of the nation”);
- For elementary grades (1–4) — “Ene til — jurok til” (“Native language — the language of the heart”);
- For senior grades (5–11) — “Ar türdüü uluttardagy birimdik” (“Unity of different nations”);
- For city residents and heads of institutions — an essay competition on the theme “Til bilseñ, dil bilesiñ” (“Know the language — understand the soul”) and artistic reading of original works in video format lasting 2 minutes.
Participants enthusiastically took part in the competitions, demonstrating respect for their native language through creativity.
During the festive event, students presented various performances, which included the following numbers:
- “Hymn of the Language” — School No. 4;
- greetings in the native languages of various peoples — School No. 1;
- dances of the peoples of the world — School No. 2;
- artistic reading in the languages of the peoples — School No. 3;
- singing melodies in different languages — School No. 6.
Each performance reflected the richness of languages and cultural diversity, symbolizing friendship among nations.
At the conclusion of the event, certificates were awarded to the winners of the city stage of the Republican Subject Olympiad, and the results of the online competition were announced, with winners receiving cash prizes from the Kara-Kul mayor's office.
The organized event became a true celebration, inspiring the younger generation to respect and develop their native language.
- The International Mother Language Day is celebrated on February 21. It was established by UNESCO in 1999 and has been celebrated worldwide since 2000 to protect and preserve languages.
