Educator from Naryn J. Abdrakhmanova: The First Three Years of Life — The Foundation of Child Development
Janil Keneshovna Abdrakhmanova, who has been working as an educator since the opening of the "Ata-Türk" kindergarten in Naryn, has 15 years of experience in this profession and a higher education in preschool education.
Married, she is raising three children: two sons and a daughter, who has also chosen a career as an educator. One of her sons is serving in the army, while the other is studying at university. She spoke with a regional correspondent.
Janil was born in 1974 in the village of Temirovka, located in the Issyk-Kul region.
— From an early age, I dreamed of becoming a teacher, — shares Janil. — After the ninth grade, I entered the Naryn Pedagogical College and graduated with honors, obtaining a degree in "Preschool Education." To further develop my skills, I continued my studies at Naryn State University, where I received a qualification in primary education.
Currently, she leads the senior group, accepting children from 1.5 years old in accordance with new standards. In her group, children are educated from the junior group.
— A serious problem has arisen in modern society, — she asserts. — Many parents, seeking peace, give their children phones. I believe this is one of the main reasons for delays in speech development. Moreover, parents have started to interact less with their children.
According to her, children often come to kindergarten with phones, which are taken away before leaving. This causes tears and bad moods in the children, and their morning behavior shows that they are accustomed to gadgets.
— There are children who come and tell me: "Mom read me a fairy tale," — notes the educator. — Such children are interested: "Tell me a fairy tale." The difference between those who grew up with fairy tales and those who spend time with phones is obvious.
Janil pays special attention to the speech development of children, incorporating special exercises into each lesson. For holidays, children learn poems appropriate for their age.
— Children who are surrounded by grandmothers and listen to fairy tales have a significantly broader vocabulary, — she points out. — Those who spend a lot of time with phones struggle to express their thoughts.
The educator believes that the main mistake of parents is the excessive use of phones. Tired after work, parents sometimes cannot give their children the attention they need, even though communication and play significantly contribute to their development.
— It is very important to bring children to kindergarten in a good mood. Children have their own thoughts, and they want to share them. Sometimes they come in tears and say: "Mom didn't let me learn the poem." This signals that their voices remain unheard, — she emphasizes.
In Janil's opinion, children absorb everything they see and hear. Even if they cannot speak yet, their brains remember everything. Therefore, the first three years of life are critically important for a child's development, and the habits formed at home will influence their behavior in kindergarten.
— A child is a reflection of their parents. Therefore, every parent should give their child not a phone, but their time, attention, and love, — concludes the experienced educator.
