Significant changes have occurred in the educational infrastructure of the Alaï district: a school that educated 160 students has been demolished, and now children are temporarily studying in residential houses. This was reported by a correspondent from Turmush.

The secondary school No. 29, named after Keldibay Taichabarov, is located in the rural district of Tilektesh. According to the head of the Tilektesh village council, Kadyrbek Musabaev, this educational institution was built during the Soviet period using the ashar method, but over time it fell into a state of disrepair.

“Considering that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic warned of possible danger, the school was demolished in 2025, and construction of a new two-story school for 150 students began in its place. The construction of the new building is planned to be completed by May. Currently, the main floors have been finished, and finishing works are ongoing,” Musabaev clarified.

Temporarily, education has been organized in two newly built houses in the village, with the consent of their owners. “All necessary conditions for learning have been created, including a heating system, dining areas, and a gym. Students will study in these houses until the new school is completed. After that, we plan to carry out repairs in these premises,” he added.

Shatman Mamarasul uulu, the deputy director of the Keldibay Taichabarov school, noted that only 160 children study at the institution. “The old building became hazardous, and we could not hold classes in it. Therefore, we were forced to temporarily switch to studying in residential houses and are trying to create comfortable conditions for the children,” he said.

Damirbek Kalykberdiev, the head of the Osh regional capital construction department, reported that the new educational institution will be fully completed this year and put into operation.

According to information, the village of Toguz-Bulak has a population of 2,357 people and consists of 315 households.
