According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department on March 16, a service investigation conducted in the Osh region revealed facts of criminal negligence and forgery committed by representatives of law enforcement agencies. This is related to the concealment of circumstances surrounding a traffic accident that occurred in 2022.
During the investigation, it became known that on June 21, 2022, in the Kara-Suu district, a child, R.A., born in 2013, was killed as a result of being hit by a vehicle. However, as the Internal Affairs Department employees discovered, the then police officers working in the Internal Affairs Department of the Kara-Suu district took actions aimed at concealing the crime and falsifying the materials related to the case.
After these facts were uncovered, on March 11, 2026, a pre-investigation check was initiated in the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region. During the investigative actions conducted on March 12, 2026, the parents of the deceased and other witnesses were interviewed, who confirmed that the vehicle indeed struck the child.
Based on the collected data, a criminal case was initiated on March 13, 2026, under the signs of a crime stipulated by part 2 of article 361 of the Criminal Code ("Falsification of evidence").
Among the detained suspects were:
- T.S. — investigator of the investigative service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Aravan district.
- U.M. — head of the traffic police department for the Alaï district, police major.
The court selected a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months. Currently, the suspect T.S. is under guard in a medical facility due to health issues.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are working to establish all the circumstances of this crime.
