The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan reported the detention of police officers who involved a minor in sexual activities.
Law enforcement agencies uncovered illegal actions committed by certain employees of the Internal Affairs Department of the Uzgen District, located in the Osh region.
During the investigation, it became known that the senior police officer, Captain of Police "Z.u.A.", along with juvenile inspectors "N.A.N." and "A.u.A.", created a criminal scheme aimed at extorting money. They coerced 15-year-old "T.A.U.", born in 2008, into sexual contacts with certain men. In particular, the police officers led the minor to wealthy citizens and then conducted fictitious detentions, applying psychological pressure and blackmail to extract financial gain.
The investigative department of the GKNB for the city of Osh and the Osh region initiated a criminal case regarding this incident. On February 4 of this year, in cooperation with the Military Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the mentioned employees of the Uzgen ROVD were detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
During the investigative actions, confessions were obtained, and it was established that there were other instances of "setups" by the involved police officers and civilians. It is particularly alarming that among those detained were juvenile inspectors, who are supposed to protect children's rights and prevent offenses.
Currently, the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing, within which measures are being taken to fully document the illegal actions of the detained police officers.
