The 53rd meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the EAEU was held in Bishkek

On March 26, 2026, the 53rd meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union took place in Bishkek. The event was attended by leaders and representatives of the customs authorities of the EAEU states.

The main focus of the meeting was on the implementation of previously adopted decisions and the discussion of various aspects of customs administration and control. Participants examined practical aspects of the classification of goods according to the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature, amendments to customs declarations after their release, and proposed changes to the regulations regarding the completion of transit declarations.

The discussion also addressed the improvement of customs transit, optimization of transportation, and strengthening control over the movement of goods and personal vehicles. Important topics included information interaction between customs services, the functioning of technical support, and the use of modern digital tools.

Additionally, initiatives for improving the regulatory framework, developing a risk management system, and applying unified cost indicators, as well as updating methodological recommendations in the field of customs expertise, were discussed.

As a result of the meeting, agreed approaches were developed, and 22 decisions were adopted aimed at the uniform application of commodity codes, the development of cooperation, and the enhancement of the effectiveness of customs regulation within the Union.
